Collaboration

I do my best work when I can understand the whole problem, take responsibility for a meaningful part of it, and stay close to the result. I’m open to internships, paid trials, freelance projects, research programs, and longer-term roles. I’m based in Ukraine, work remotely, and can invoice freelance work through a registered sole proprietorship.

Experience. Most of my experience comes from products that are still running. I work as lead engineer and product operator on a live project with an audience of millions, co-founded HackCode, and maintain open-source projects used by people I have never met. I’m comfortable taking responsibility for both the technical work and what happens after release.

Payments. I can invoice in UAH or EUR. SEPA and SWIFT both work, and USD can usually be settled through the EUR account. Bank details are shared on request.

Contracts. Most freelance work is handled by invoice. If your legal or finance team needs a signed agreement, we can arrange one. Vechenkov is the name I use online; my legal details are shared privately. My full CV is available on request.

Engagements. I care more about the problem and the responsibility than the label on the engagement. Paid trials and freelance projects are the easiest way to start, but I’m also open to internships, research programs, hackathons, and open-source collaborations. I only consider unpaid work when I genuinely care about the project.

Availability. My school schedule is flexible. I can work part-time and can consider full-time work for the right role or project. I’m used to working across time zones.

Rates. I quote per engagement, not from a fixed price list. Send a brief, and I’ll come back with a number once I understand the scope.
